On this page we will feature some
pictures of the road trips and scavenger hunts for old trucks and equipment,
which we will appropriately call our JUNK YARD TOURS. Thanks for stopping
by!

Sometimes you don't have to get lost in the
backwoods and back roads of America to find a good old restorable road
tractor. Sometimes all you have to do is look out the back door of a
truck dealership. Such was the case recently for Tri-State Antique Truck
Show Director Fred Craig and a few of his colleagues from the Mason-Dixon
( MD ) Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society. |
| Fred isn't sure yet what year model this truck is
but you will notice that is has the WHITE brand name across the front
grill and it also has WESTERN STAR on each side of the front fenders.
Remember when White also made the Freightliner? This truck has a 318
Detroit engine ( 8V71 ) with a 13-speed Overdrive tranny and 4.11 rears.
Research is being done to determine the year model from the VIN number. |
